The Person You're Becoming
Needs Evidence, Not a Lecture
The Being–Doing–Living Method™
Starts with identity. Not with willpower.
BEING
DOING
LIVING
Who are you becoming?
What small actions create evidence for the identity?
What practical supports make the identity easier to maintain?
We use small EXPERIMENTS, honest OBSERVATION, and real-life ADJUSTMENT to close the gap between knowing and doing.
Choose the habit you're tired of wrestling with. ↓
Alcohol &
Evening Habits
The day winds down and suddenly you’re having the same internal debate you had yesterday. You want alcohol to take up less space in your thoughts, but rules and willpower just aren't working.
We’ll look at the identity, routines, cues, and practical supports that keep the pattern going, then test changes that help your evenings feel more like your own.
Procrastination &
Follow Through
You know what needs to be done. You may even have an excellent plan. And yet somehow the starting point keeps disappearing, despite your good intentions.
We'll look at what happens between intention and action — and build practical ways to make starting and following through easier.
Movement,
Strength & Balance
You want to move more, rebuild strength, or protect your balance and mobility — but knowing it matters hasn't made consistency automatic.
This is not personal training or an exercise prescription. It is coaching around the habits, identity, and practical supports that help movement become part of how you live.
Deep Dive
Planning & Strategy Session
Sometimes you don’t need an ongoing coaching program. You need enough time to look closely at one pattern, understand what keeps pulling you back, and build a plan around the way you actually live.

Before we meet, you’ll complete a brief questionnaire. During our 90-minute session, we’ll map the habit, identify the decision points and practical supports that matter most, and begin shaping your next steps.
Afterward, I’ll prepare a personalized plan based on our conversation. We’ll meet again for a 30-minute follow-up to see what happened in real life, make adjustments, and decide what comes next.
Price: $350
Includes:
- a brief pre-session questionnaire
- one 90-minute private session
- a personalized written habit-change plan delivered within five business days
- 30-minute implementation follow-up session

One-On-One Coaching
For a stubborn habit that needs more than a good plan.
You’ve probably tried plans, rules, reminders, or fresh starts before. The problem is not that you need more information. You need enough support, experimentation, and follow-through for a different pattern to take hold.

Over three months, we’ll look at the identity, pattern, and practical conditions keeping the habit in place. We’ll test small changes, pay attention to what actually happens, and keep adjusting until the new route fits your life better than the old one.
Price: $1,500
Includes:
- Twelve private sessions over 12 weeks
- Between-session support
- Personalized experiments, notes, and short practice guides
- A closing blueprint for continuing the work on your own.
Sessions are available by video, in person at selected Twin Cities locations, or as walk-and-talks on local trails.
Payment plans and a limited number of reduced-fee places are available.

For groups that enjoy learning something useful —with thoughtful conversation and a little well-placed humor.

I offer talks and interactive workshops for lifelong learning programs, community groups, service organizations, and churches interested in identity, habits, and the surprisingly large gap between knowing and doing.
Presentations range from a single talk to a multi-session workshop and can be adapted to your group.
Possible topics include:
- Knowing Isn't Doing: Identity and the science of habit change
- Becoming Someone Who Follows Through: Identity, procrastination, and the decision to begin
- Small Shifts, Stronger Lives: Building a more consistent relationship with movement, strength & balance
Not sure where to start?
Tell me what you've been trying to change – and what keeps getting in the way.
We can spend 30 minutes talking it through and see if one of these options makes sense for you.
